I am embarrassed to admit, but before I tapped on the concept of the simple feminine business model, I was a classic case of someone who chased shiny objects.

I was convinced that, if I collected enough information, I would eventually find a magical way to market myself. I also had a fear of missing out so I wanted to know the best marketing advice in the industry. This lead to burnout with not-so-sustainable results.

When I finally surrendered and decided to let my intuitive guidance show me the best way to market that didn’t feel hard, I discovered what I call ‘the feminine business model’. By creating space in my life and listening to my inner guidance, I was led to what I now share with my clients who experience success with ease.

I knew if I wanted to create sustainable success, I not only needed to make money but make it in a way that felt easy.
I needed to look closely at the three main resources in my business: time, money and energy. I realized that, in order for me to balance all three of these resources, having the best marketing advice or strategies was not enough.

The marketing needed to work for my lifestyle. Being a mum and a highly sensitive woman, I didn’t want to spend a lot of time marketing. Yet, I wanted to reach a large number of people in the least amount of time.

This is how I tapped on The Feminine Business Model.

I knew that being in my feminine essence had helped me in every area of my life. Slowing down, focusing on self-care, creating a support network with other women were all important ingredients that had allowed me to flourish in my life.

I didn’t know why I felt that in order to succeed in the business world, I had to do business like men.
I didn’t know at the time, but I was subconsciously influenced by the patriarchy that values productivity more than rest. I had bought into the model of success that proposed that we attach our value to what we achieve more than who we are.

I asked myself, “what if I could create my business from who I am instead of what I do? What if what I do came after who I am? Was it even possible to take a risk to ‘be’ myself before doing what I do?”

There was a lot of conditioning and fear I needed to overcome as I had learnt sales from the famous sales gurus such as Tom Hopkins.

As a young woman, I was very driven by my need to be the best at achieving my sales goals and now taking a risk to trust the power greater than myself and believing that my abundance didn’t come from my clients, it came from the divine and my only job was to serve others on my path was a comforting thought, yet a risky one.

I needed to get out of my own way and trust that I would be provided for without hustling and pushing. It was a leap of faith I needed to take.
I saw a lot of women trapped in a similar cycle of pushing to achieve success.

They were trapped in a vicious cycle of pushing and when they experienced a burn out, they would go and look for feminine coaches who would help them embody their feminine side so they could finally rest.

I thought to myself: ‘what if women didn’t have to work hard, experience exhaustion and look for feminine coaches.’ What if they could create a business from their feminine essence, how would their life change?

I was living proof that it is possible to do that. I had done it in my own life. Now it was time to own it and teach it to others in a similar situation.

That is how my Feminine Sales Process was also birthed along with the Feminine Business Model. With a belief and desire to serve others and a trust in divine support, I put together everything I had learnt and discovered three steps to succeed in business.

Element One: The Inner Foundation

The very first component of feminine business model is the inner foundation.

The Internal Foundation is our way of being in the world, our vibe, who we are and how we show up. That is also the soul piece. Sometimes, our light may be hidden due to past conditioning because we may have had to shrink in order to survive.

We may also have developed our shadow side in response to the traumas from our past. Being aware of our shadow responses and being in touch with our inner selves, we can show up fully in all our light and glory, we can own our brilliance and express it in our business.

Coming fully into our feminine side is almost like coming out of our caterpillar stage and emerging into a beautiful butterfly. The time we spent in the cocoon going through the pain we experienced as a woman that made us abandon our feminine side was necessary to help us become the woman we are today.

The longing and the yearning we experienced to own the woman inside of us, and do business like a woman is what was needed for us to be who we are ready to be today. If you are finding yourself reading this, I want you to know that you are not alone in wanting to do business in a feminine way.

In order to make money in our business, when we first prepare internally and create a strong foundation before taking outer actions, we will have an internal soft place to land.

When outer actions don’t work, we can continue to push our way through until we break down or burn out or we can return to our strong inner foundation, re-group, re-charge and emerge strong from a powerful unstoppable feminine place.

Element Two: Outer Actions

Having a strong inner foundation alone isn’t enough to create success. We also need to take outer actions in order to see the results of inner work come to fruition. We cannot take just any action. We need to take strategic actions in the right order to have enough reserve of time and energy to thrive as a feminine business owner.
What I have discovered is that there are five action steps we need to take in the right sequence to succeed.

The Five Action Steps

Step #1 - Your Mess Is Your Message

Find a connection between your story, your wound, and seeing how your life story has prepared you to teach what you teach. Even if you are already an established naturopath or a doctor, in your life story, you will find evidence of who you are and what makes you different from others in the same field because of who you are being when you do your thing to help others.

Step #2 - Simplifying Your Marketing:

I found, instead of doing tons of marketing activities, if I could help my clients focus on just one or two marketing activities that they are naturally good at, they can create success with ease. Being visible in small steps and gaining confidence and momentum as well as some evidence of success before trying different things can help manage their energy and build confidence. It also helps avoid overwhelm that can happen when one is focused on chasing shiny objects.

Step #3 - Connecting with Community

It is hard for us to sell ourselves. As women we are sensitive beings and we like to protect our relationships with people we are serving. That’s why I support my clients to tap into the communities where their clients hang out and collaborate with others who can introduce their work to their communities so that they don’t have to sell themselves. It isn’t difficult to do that when we get clear on the value we provide by getting clear on our message. Most people love to provide a solution to a problem their audiences are struggling with. 

Step #4 - Creating Packages By getting clear on point of view

I help my clients get clear on the process they went through to overcome their challenges, so they can pull out their wisdom and package it into a long-term process to help their clients. This provides their clients with a deep relationship and it provides my clients with long-term clients, so they don’t have to continue to market all the time and can enjoy the money they are making

Step #5 - Feminine Sales Process

By taking the first four steps, having a clear message, creating a talk, and speaking in front of the right community of clients, my clients learn a very soft and sensitive process on how to present their packages to their clients, so they don’t feel like they are pushing to sell. Element Three: A Community To Hold Us

If we focus on taking these steps, while also having done the inner work, we will move more quickly than we could have imagined. But we won’t get far. It isn’t enough to create sustainable steps. While taking action, living our dream, we will meet obstacles on our way to success. The only way to not let those obstacles stop us from continuing to take action is to create a community with other women who will hold us in love and light when we fall.
Women over the centuries were pitted against each other under the influence of patriarchy, now having a strong foundation and support of other women who collaborate with each other and celebrate each other’s successes is what will help us bring our gifts into the world consistently.

Case Studies #1: Health & Weight Loss:

Maybe you are feeling like my client Caroline when we first met. When I met Caroline, she was working full time, building a business while also trying to conceive a baby. She felt that the stress of building a business with a full time job had taken a toll on her. However, she couldn’t let go of her passion of being a fitness trainer and a nutritionist. She naturally loved food and cooking. She was so efficient in helping women clean their pantry of junk food, suggest what foods are good for them and create a health and fitness plan that was sustainable.

We might be a good fit if:

  • You are utterly overwhelmed with information. You’re realizing that ‘more info’ is not the answer. You’re ready to take action on what you already know rather than to keep learning more. Your web browser has so many tabs open for YouTube videos, blog posts and online summits and your download folder only gets fuller and fuller with unused eBooks on business and marketing. You have probably spent hours browsing the internet for a solution searching for the next shiny object that may have an answer.
  • You are the entrepreneurial equivalent of the ‘starving artist’. In many ways, you have a life full of ease, grace, integrity, honesty and flow that feels wonderful but… you don’t make enough money. Your heart is open and people love you but you’re broke. We wouldn’t be a fit if you…

Don’t know your trade, e.g. I can help you market, but your magic and how you help your clients is your speciality. I can help with getting clear with your message as well as bring out your process for you, but not coaching your clients.
You will not struggle to buy groceries as a result of investing in the coaching program and have enough time and money to work on marketing your business.
Building a business takes time. You must be willing to be patient with yourself and the process of putting all the pieces together that create a long term sustainable success.
Are not ready to challenge your belief that you can help everyone and are willing to look at working with a selective group of people you can help.
Only measure outer results: are someone who measures growth only when you make a sale and disregard the inner work that happened before.
Don’t believe that relationships are an important part of business. When we push and sell, the relationships suffer. Similarly, I value our relationship and I promise to never invite you to buy something from me if I don’t think it is good for you. I suggest that you too honour and value our time together.
If you are struggling to pay your grocery bills and are not able to commit to 12 months, it is likely not the right time for you. It is best to be in a place where you have time, energy and money to commit to this program. I recommend you get a part time job or another source of income while building a business. When one is struggling to pay for groceries, it is really hard to build a business. Building a business needs a certain level of safety, having some cushion of money to survive can give one a breathing space or one can get stressed to pay for coaching and try to learn the skill of selling their services to their clients at the same time, they can come across pushy if they are desperate for money. Therefore, if you are in a survival stage and struggle to pay for groceries, I would recommend you get a part time job while building your business and not put all your eggs in one basket. You shouldn’t suffer to pay for this program.

Why Does It Matter: A journey to abundance is a very personal one for everyone. We as a society focus on money alone to define our abundance. Hand out #1: Questions to help you dig deeper into your money story

What is it: We all have a money story we grew up with. Our money story is connected to our parents’ money story, what they did for a living, whether or not it was easy for them to provide for us. Based on their experience of raising a family, they held certain beliefs about money that affect us in our ability to create wealth and be successful at money as an entrepreneur.

Why does it matter: It is important to know our money story so we are not blindsided by creating success or lack of it based on old tapes playing in our mind.

Hand out #2: Family Money Legacy from a feminine and masculine perspective

What is it: Both men and women are socialized around money differently. In family money legacy from a feminine and masculine perspective, my clients get insight into why their prefer style of creating money and success might be more masculine instead of feminine and what to do to change it
Why Does it Matter: Unless we collectively look at and take responsibility for the money legacy we inherited from both of our parents, it is difficult to have a wider perspective on our money legacy and change it to empower ourselves financially.

Hand out #3: Monthly Marketing Visibility Checklist

What is it: Having a structure to create content, being visible and keeping track of our marketing activities keeps us not only self accountable, it also helps make us aware when we are afraid of visibility and we may be hiding.

Why Does It Matter: Keeping track of our visibility activities can help us stay focused on money making activities and if we notice ourselves being resistant to being visible, we can receive coaching support to help us overcome the fear of being seen.

Hand out #4: Sales Script for Discovery Call

What is it: A step by step process on finding out the needs of your clients and how your gifts can serve them.

Why Does It Matter: Although, I don’t recommend or believe that human beings can be scripted to, however, I also believe when people are new to sales, it can be very intimidating to sell, having a script at the beginning can help provide the safety one needs to address the needs of the client and stay focused on the service. After sometime, when one feels confident, they can let go of the script and lead from their intuition.

Hand out #5: Asking Clients for a Testimonial

What is it: The questions to ask your clients to document the results they received by working with you.

Why Does It Matter: People are busier than ever, even though our clients are very grateful for our work, but when we ask them to document what they received from us, despite their best intentions to write us a great testimonial, they hesitate because they don’t have time to write one. By giving them a set of questionnaires to reflect on our work, it makes their job easier to write us a testimonial. At times, the clients even prefer if we write one for them based on what they shared about our work with us during our time together as it makes it easy for them than to come up with words themselves as everyone is busy.

Hand out #6: Client Renewal Conversation Template

What is it: A lot of the time, our clients need more support than the time we allot for them to stay with us and at other times they may end the work on time. If we have a template to document what they still need to work on, it is easier to have a renewal conversation with their best interest at heart in our minds.

Why Does It Matter: It matters because clients forget how far they have come and they also may not know for certain that they need more work. With our experience of having taken our clients through our work together, we need to serve them best by pointing out the areas they need to work on so they don’t go alone until they are entirely ready and our work together doesn’t go to waste.

The great thing about having handouts or templates is that it provides a structure at the beginning of trying to master a skill and one doesn’t have to do the guesswork by trial and error.

It is a step by step process that has been tested and it works and helps go deeper into the concept by bringing it to the calls by being pre-prepared by answering the questions which saves a lot of coaching time and provides a great value for the client. All the client needs to do is to fill in the blanks and get insights they wouldn’t otherwise be able to get by coming up with something on a blank piece of paper.

Handouts and templates also provide a sense of safety to journal in their own time, go deep and release what needs to be released. It provides privacy as well as cuts the coaching time in half and the client can end up getting 2 years of coaching at the price of one. I have found these handouts very valuable in helping my clients achieve great results faster and easier.

 

                                                                                               Why am I Asking For a One Year Commitment

Over the last 10 years of coaching clients, I have realized that to create a long term sustainable business takes time. 

I’ve noticed through working with clients and offering programs with different levels of time length that taking a focused one-year time to work on your business can lead to long lasting change. You will then be ready to fly on your own.

That’s why I request a minimum of one-year commitment. After one year, if you feel a need to stay longer, we can have that conversation or if you are ready to fly on your own, I am really happy to support you in doing that, laying down the next steps in your business for you.

If you are unsure as to whether this is a fit for you or not, I propose that you read the refund/cancellation policy below and then take some time in a quiet space somewhere and feel into what is the right decision for you to take in your business right now. If you decide to enroll in the 12 months’ program, I really want you to make an informed decision. 

Building a business is a sacred process, this is not a quick fix, make 5k tomorrow and get a high end client kind of a program. Although, some of you who already have a network and are ahead in your business, may experience many miracles such as getting a high end client, but overall this program is a bird view eye program to build a strong foundation so you can consistently enroll clients. 

You need the safety to create success in a sustainable way.  It is a very vulnerable experience to build a business and to learn new things. You don’t need the additional stress of bringing in the income right away while you are getting clear on your message and other things. You also don’t want to come across as desperate or pushy to your clients as that isn’t what your message and your mission is about. 

I promise that you will experience many aha moments during the program. You will also feel challenged at times to try on new things, but you will always have my support and will never feel alone. I will hold you in safety when you give your first talk, or charge a high price for your services. Your relationship with money will shift, your self-esteem will increase, you will grow, but it wouldn’t be possible without having a container of 12 months so we can build that consistency as well as a strong relationship for your business to flourish.

Therefore, I request a minimum of one-year commitment. 

If you are not able to make that commitment, there are other programs that may promise quicker results or something different from what I am offering right now. I want us to make this commitment together so we are a right fit to work together. 

Take your time to make an informed decision. Make sure that you are ready for this level of commitment to your business. By making the right decision you are honouring your time and energy, money as well as mine.
